PREMIERE | Rainbow Hologram

“Our music is an attempt to combine the energy from the spontaneous and unexpected with the immediacy of pop music.”

Earlier this year Bergen alt-pop favourites Lumikide released their debut self-titled EP, drawing much of their songwriting inspiration from the political currents in Norway, with “flickers of reconciliation” woven into the EP’s themes. As part of a recent performance partnership with Sofar Sounds, the Portishead-influenced quartet is premiering unreleased single, Rainbow Hologram, which was recorded live in an intimate setting in their home town. Renowned for their intricate compositions and modern jazz techniques, their songs have been described as spontaneous and frenetic, enhanced by the use of analogue synths through old German amps.

JINJA SAFARI | Find My Way

Tales of whimsical travels feature on the first new single in two years from Sydney five-piece, Jinja Safari, and also sees the band going independent in 2015 leading up to the release of their upcoming third album. Find My Way, both rich in multicultural flavours and tales of yesteryear, has also been released in conjunction with a music video montage of tour footage captured by vocalist, Marcus Azon, which was collected over a period of five years.

LYVES X SYNKRO | Body Close

One Soundcloud demo was the only first impression required for North London singer-songwriter Lyves to be invited to play at BBC’s Introducing stage at both Reading and Leeds Festivals last year.
