From magnificent altitudes the techno-pop pulses and crystalline synths of Odd Rumblings beckon, almost like an undercurrent or an impending force that is rousing yet unfamiliar. Their songs become physical anecdotes; icy landscapes unthreatening, terrains limitless. And through this escapade into the wilderness, the holy vocals of Audrea Lim and Gabriel Sedgwick summon through the veils of snow and ask us to pause for breath during the “stormy white-noise of modern life”.

CUBEZ | Skams

"Skams is a lucid exploration of bass and vocals in the refuge of electronica and hip hop. It’s music for the nocturnal and the unafraid.”
The aftermath veiled upon New York during Hurricane Sandy spurred on a session which would later become debut release, Skams, from Brooklyn electro/hip hop/dub duo Cubez. On a stormy NY eve, Angelo and Eric recorded their debut single (later to be remixed by Starkey), visibly inspired by the murky and desolate shadow cast by the uncertainty of Sandy, creating a layer of vocal samples with a finish of slick signature 808 beats; “Angelo came up with the bass, synths, and vocal sample and then handed it over to Eric to lay down his signature beats.” Starkey’s accompanying remix takes the track on a “dark, minimal odyssey,” palpating synth like it’s a lifeline to the heart, creating adhesion in urban and club settings.
NUTRITIOUS
He's not your typical DJ. In fact, he's more of a musical entrepreneur. Viewing the world with holistic eyes, a soulful heart and maintaining a 'classic DJ ideology', Nutritious cooks up what can only be the hottest dance floor mixes east side of Manhattan. High Times coined him a musical healer and Sample UK believe he's one of the most "interesting and exciting DJs at the moment". Beyond the turntables he holds an A-list back catalogue of film scores, as well as co-authoring a wellness book and making headway for performance art in conjunction with live audience experiences.
